Elopement Giveaway Nomination:

Christine and Mike were the recipients of our Elopement Giveaway – we wanted to give back to one couple whose wedding had been impacted by Covid 19 and this is their nomination from their dear friend Akiko:

“I would like to nominate Christine Codimos as a candidate. She was supposed to get married in April in the Philippines. She had left alone in March to get everything in order and her fiancé was supposed to follow two weeks later. On the day of her arrival, the president of the Philippines shut all borders. There were no in and out flights from Manila so she made her way to her small town and within 24 hrs they shut down in and out privileges to Manila. She was stuck, no fiancé and unable to see her friends and family. She was alone for two months social distancing. She had to constantly contact the Canadian consulate to try and get her back. Her flights were cancelled 3 times and each time her heart broke and she was devastated. She would often contact her work colleagues to give us an update as Wifi was not very good. We were so worried about her. Her wedding was cancelled but she really wants to get married with her fiancé this year.

About Christine: she is a healthcare professional who is hardworking and dedicated to keeping people healthy and keeping people safe. She works as a phlebotomist at the laboratory. I would be so grateful if she was to win this contest as she has been through a lot this year. She deserves a bit of a break.”

Her words following the wedding:

“I would like to personally thank you both for picking Christine and Mike as the winners of your elopement contest. You created a beautiful memory for them, and I am truly grateful. Christine returned to work glowing and said that she had an amazing time. You gals made it easy for her with your great planning and coaching. She was really worried about posing for photos, but you captured such gorgeous moments! They truly showed the love that they have for each other, and the fun that they were having. You captured their special moment perfectly! My, and our coworkers, favourite photo was the “rose petal toss”. That was an absolutely amazing shot! We all can’t wait to see the rest of the photos!”
