Kate and Tyler reached out to us in hopes to have an intimate Sunshine Coast wedding. We worked with the couple who chose our small wedding package to plan their late summer wedding this past September.
To start their day our couple enjoyed a slow and intimate morning getting ready with friends and family. Kate and Tyler then headed off to see each other for the first time during their first look. The couple met along a trail at Bonniebrook beach for a magical first look in the forest.
The Wedding Ceremony
Once Kate & Tyler enjoyed some time together, we headed off to the ceremony and reception which took place at Chaster House in Gibsons. Located right on the water, The Chaster House overlooks the Strait of Georgia and is the perfect Sunshine Coast wedding venue for a waterfront wedding. The ceremony took place in front of the Chaster House with a beautiful view overlooking the ocean. Bohemian-inspired decor was incorporated into the ceremony with a wood triangle wedding arch, lush florals and a carpeted aisle.
The Wedding Reception
We worked with Kate to bring her small wedding design to life by supplying custom-curated decor and florals. During the planning process, Kate shared her love of flowers with us. So, we discussed using locally grown flowers wherever possible. I even grew a few things just for her wedding in the Coastal Weddings garden including, brown and burgundy amaranth.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a tented wedding reception on the Chaster House lawn. Even though this was a small Sunshine Coast wedding, no amount of detail was left out. From custom-designed florals to hand-picked wedding table decor and an intimate sweetheart table this small tented wedding had it all. Our bride Kate even included handmade wedding favours of jam for guests to take home as a memento.
During the reception, guests enjoyed a delicious dinner provided by Emelles catering while they sat under a magical tent with bistro lights. As the sunset, Kate and Tyler enjoyed a romantic first dance before heading off to their afterparty at Tapworks Brewing.
